Beauty... Is and Isn't.

Beauty isn't necessarily accessed/perceived by the eyes.

Thus my stance-
“Beauty isn't in the eye of the beholder!”

Beauty is smelt.
It’s touched.
It’s tasted.
It’s heard.

OR NOT!

Beauty is universal.
Beauty is sensed.
Beauty is felt!

Nirvana is reached when all the 7 senses dip their receptacles and take in beauty.

What does that say of those limp in one sense or other?
Doesn’t the hypocrisy POP out and grow from a mole hill to a mountain in a sec!

Oh yes… I agree

The blind can’t see it…
The deaf can’t hear it…
The lepers can’t feel it…
The anosmiacs can’t smell and taste it…

But... Wait a second!

WHO SAID BEAUTY IS LIMITED TO BANAL SENSES OF PERCEPTION??

Beauty is…
Envisaged
Its enshrouding
Its encapsulating
Its encompasses all ‘8 senses’

Really smart move there Mrs. Hungerford.... to say ‘beholder’ and not viewer, visioner, seer.

For BEHOLD!

That’s the beauty of beauty…

It’s—
Pristinely
Utterly…

Just—

BEAUTIFUL!

For beauty... is a state of mind.

I know what’s beautiful.

The question is…

DO YOU?

  1. I love this!! "Beauty encompasses all 8 senses" is the most succinct way of putting it. As you rightly stated, if beauty could only be perceived by the eyes, where does that leave the blind?

"Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder" would not be half as powerful a phrase as it is, if we interpreted it in its most literal sense. If beauty could only be perceived by the eyes, that would be extremely superficial... and a complete contradiction of what true beauty is/should be.

    Beautiful post/perspective!!
